"My favorite moments
are sometimes the surprises."
- Jared Leto
Hey there!
My name is Ricardo Castillo and I'm an international student at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
I was born in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico where I grew up until I was 19. Currently, I'm getting my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, with a double concentration in Software Engineering and Cyber Security.
I'm very passionate about technology and learning. Similarly, I enjoy designing and innovating when applicable. If given the opportunity, I enjoy teaching people about computers and what you can do with them.
A few of my hobbies include project development, swimming, graphic design, playing drums, coding, traveling, hiking, and outdoors.
I'm a full-time student, but I work part-time at StudentConnect, UTSA, where I learned most of my skills and had hand-to-hand experience with troubleshooting, managing computer labs, and hardware.
On this website you may learn more about me and browse my projects!
“I count on Ricardo to help us with new programs or unusual challenges as he will eagerly be a self-taught pro within just a few days.”
– James Lee, Systems Analyst II, The University of Texas at San Antonio
